What you can expect in this 45 minutes video

Historically, both EAI and EDI has been performed through BizTalk. In this video Sandro Pereira shows us how through the new Windows Azure BizTalk Services (previously called as Azure EAI/EDI services)  Microsoft envisions these types of integration scenarios being addressed in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) based environment.

In this session we’ll see EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) functionalities like: how to manage EDI message exchanges and trading partners with the Azure EDI Portal; how to support Flat files; edit Schemas and transformation maps.

This video was originally recorded 6 months before the official release of WABS in TechEd NA. When this video was recorded, WABS ( called as Azure EAI/EDI services) were in private beta and available only through TAP customers via the Azure labs. Majority of the concept still remains the same, audience should get a glimpse of the WABS capabilites. It's recommended you take a look at the public preview video from TechEd when they are available, since there are some new functionalities like enhanced Trading partner management portal now available in Azure Portal.
